I’m Melissa Miura: storyteller, social entrepreneur, lifelong learner, and longtime mentor/coach. I’m a multiracial, so-called Zillennial old soul born and raised on the island of Oʻahu who’s fortunate to have lived and traveled all around the world. My life bridges cultures, generations, and borders both physical and imagined. For those navigating tension, uncertainty, and emergence in life, leadership, and business — allow me to be your guide in the in-between. It’s where I thrive.

Once upon a time in Hollywood, I was a young professional eager to climb the industry ladder. I dreamed of bringing impactful narratives to global audiences, when in reality I was living a waking nightmare. The toxic leadership and culture I experienced, rooted in extractive and oppressive systems, took a heavy toll on my mind, body, and spirit. I was determined to push through.

Luckily, the pandemic released me from that highly unsustainable path. Then began the challenge of finding a new path better aligned with my values, wellbeing, and desire to contribute to a better world. You know, small stuff.

I explored everything from photography and poetry, to scuba diving, finance, and teaching English abroad. When I started Miuracle Agency as a sustainability copywriter, I hoped I’d found the right combination of storytelling, purpose, and positive impact. Yet something was still missing.

Navigating broken systems helped me realize that actions must come before words. And to improve our actions on a systemic level, we must first regenerate how we show up as individual humans and change agents.

As a sustainable business and leadership coach, I love empowering people who already do sustainability and social impact to bridge the gap and be their values. Together we develop inner sustainability, regenerate mind-body-spirit-nature connections, and approach business and leadership from a joyful, restorative place. So we can continue to create good ripples of future impact, while living a more just, healthy, and regenerative reality now.
